Grade Levels: St. John's Sauers Lutheran School provides a high-quality, Christ-centered education to students from Preschool (age 3-5) through 8th Grade.
Enrollment: Our PK-8th grade enrollment for the 2016-2017 school year is 120 students
Accreditation: St. John's Sauers Lutheran School is accredited by the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod's National Lutheran School Accreditation Association. NLSA a nationally recognized accreditation association that rates a school's effectiveness in the following areas: The school's mission and purpose, school leadership, teacher quality, curriculum development, learning enviornment, student services, and facilites.
Admission: We welcome students from all backgrounds and ethnicities. To apply, you must complete a school application, provide immunization records, and submit prior school transcripts, if available. Students in grades 2 - 8 should also complete an interview with the Principal.
Faculty: Our full-time Teaching Faculty are all Indiana Board Certified teachers with a Bachelor degree or above.
Classroom Environment: Each of our classrooms is spacious and comfortable. All are equipped with windows, computers, and are thoroughly cleaned each evening. Electronic devices are not permitted in the classrooms.
Chapel: Our students and faculty participate in Chapel services each Friday morning at 8:30 AM. Our services include hymns, praise worship, liturgy, Bible lessons, and student prayer.
Appearance Standards: Although we do not have a uniform requirement, students must wear clothing that is neat, clean, in good repair, and appropriate in a Christian school setting. The principal has the last word on what is acceptable and appropriate.
Lunch: St. John's offers hot lunches daily from our cafeteria. Students have a choice of entrée, sides, and milk from which to choose. They may also bring their lunch from home if desired.
Athletics: We offer a variety of competitive sports opportunities at St. John's Sauers including volleyball, basketball, track, cross-country, and cheerleading. Please visit our Athletics page for more information.
